Gumede arrives at ANC integrity commission in a bus written ‘I didn’t steal the money, I took it illegally’

Former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede finally got her wish to attend the ANC integrity commission in a bus branded with her beautiful face and the words ‘I didn’t steal the money, I took it illegally’ to the hearing by the ANC provincial integrity commission.

Saying that she could not come to the commission in the past, Gumede on Tuesday revealed that her bus was still being branded by a Durban based BEE car wrapping company.  “I wanted to make a statement when I come to the commission” she said explaining her role in the R430 million tender of 2017 that got her and 16 others arrested and charged with fraud and corruption.

Gumede says first impressions always count, “that is why when I heard I will be appearing before the commission, I bought a bus… cash, and got it branded. Unfortunately the wrap job took more days and money than I expected. Fortunately I have money. That’s the reason why I did not make it to the commission last week” she said.

Gumede brought an entire football team of lawyers to the hearing loaded in the bus.

And in other new… the ANC does not have money to pay salaries.
